Cities Guide for the Southern Oregon Coast

SUNSET BEACHES

A Unique Little Bay

Thanks to wind-protecting cliffs, ocean swimming is often possible at Sunset Bay in late spring and summer, and when not, a white sandy beach offers a great place to catch the sun's rays.

Hiking the cape begins here with trails and breathtaking vistas of the ocean, birds, whales and sea lions. Photogenic Cape Arago lighthouse can be viewed at the pint around sunset.

Abundant Facilities

Available your-round, Sunset Bay State Park has fireplaces, table, hookups for water, sewer and electricity. Hot showers are placed within the camp loops. A fish cleaning table has been provided for anglers.

Included are hiker/biker campsites, which typically have picnic table and fire ring and are separated form the main campground.

Restrooms and showers are available. Groups of campers can reserve RV and tent sites. Reservations are recommended from July and August when demand peaks.

A 9 hole public golf course is just around the corner.
